A fiberglass front end was purchased from Superior Glass. It [of course] is for a drag car and was of stock proportions per NHRA rules. As a Competition Coupe can have any modification or length to the body from the cowl foreward, we purchased another piece to extend the frontend. In the second picture the seam can be seen.
The lights were cut off and foam is used to fill the holes and then fiberglass layed over that. The second picture shows Ron useing a formed sheet of metal as a mold to produce the new side panels necessary to eleminate the front wheel openings.
Here Ron has installed the new side panels and shot some primer. That NHRA front end didn't stand a chance.
