The picture on the left shows one of the rear tires being ground to proper roundness. The fixture is attached to the
belly pan and the hand grinder, fitted with a course sanding disk, is adjusted to remove a little at a time. It has to be
moved numerous times to retain the stock contour. The tire is turned by hand and the grinder started. The picture on the right shows a front tire being checked. The tires, after grinding, are removed and balanced.
The fire supression system for the driver's compartment was upgraded. Although the '06 arraingement was able to
pass inspection this was a desireable upgrade. Nozzles were added and relocated. The Step Up Box was tore down
and inspected. Everything was O.K. The Winters Quick Change gear sets were changed to reflect what we learned at the '06 Speed Week.
