The fiberglass layers were then applied and the foam removed. Ron adden the [reall] necessary body filler and straightened out the surgave. Then it was painted. Notice that the frontend is now 9" or so longer and is equipped with a 3" long "splitter".
A dolly was made to assist removal and replacement of the complete frontend. The portion of the belly pan from the
rear wheel opening to the bumper was curved upward to match the sides of the body. This made the rear of the car
smaller in size. It also is, in effect, an up-side-down airfoil which provides some downforce.
The picture on the right is the heart of the new cooling system. There is a 27 gal. tank of water onboard. There is no
raditator. The electric water pump on the engine pumps water in a circle through the block until it opens the thermostat inside the alum. housing. The second water pump [second picture] will then be allowed to introduce ambient tank water into the block system. Known as a "Zero Pass System".
