The '07 Speed Week was almost rained out. The first picture taken in the early morning, shows the lake of brine, often over a foot deep, that everybody had to drive through to get to the good salt. We got lucky that the officials were knowledgeable enough about the salt flats to find room for a good course. As in '06 the car went through technical inspection without a hitch. The green car next to the Studebaker is called the Flying Pickle.
